After-school programs also can help to improve the academic performance of participating children. It can also take on a more formal structure, with enrichment classes & integrated therapies falling into the fold of services.

After school hours/day care will include:

  • Language enrichment classes :Language difficulties interfere with an individual's ability to interpret and interact with the world. Along with this is an impaired ability to symbolize, both when trying to communicate and in play. Language enrichment will help develop different ways of communication to children with special needs.
  • Free play:Children benefit from free play in many ways. Research findings support the effectiveness of free play with an array of social, emotional, educational, and behavioral concerns.
  • Obesity & malnutrition management (as per requirement)
  • Music & dance time, etc :Music is one such supportive therapy, knowing for its social dimensions in the health care delivery, particularly for the children with special needs. Experimental studies undertaken in recent years on the therapeutic role of music have started acknowledging their efficacy as a complementary medicine, which can be safely used in combination with other medical interventions - as a supportive strategy.
  • Nap time, snack time, lunch time, etc
